Treya Partners Study Cited in Maryland General Assembly Bill Streamlining Protest Appeals Process

The results of a Treya Partners study were cited in the Maryland General Assembly Fiscal and Policy Note for House Bill 1488 concerning state procurement protest appeals procedures. House Bill 1488 requires that a vendor filing an appeal about a contract award must submit a protest appeal bond with its protest. Treya’s study had found that the number and duration of protest appeals in Maryland were both greater than in comparable states and in addition that agencies spend almost as much time on procurement appeals and protests as they spend on the actual procurement awards. Treya Partners Report Published in Maryland State Archives

The Procurement Improvement Report completed by Treya Partners for the Maryland Board of Public Works earlier this year has now been published in the Maryland State Archives. On a periodic basis the Maryland State Archives accessions certain types of materials and the Procurement Improvement Report was included as a report commissioned by the Board to identify improvement opportunities for the State procurement system. Panel OKs Contract To Study Procurement Process

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Maryland board has approved a $149,000 contract to hire a contractor to study the state’s procurement process for contracts. The Board of Public Works voted 3-0 on Wednesday for a six-month contract with Treya Partners to conduct the study. Read more...
